Jesse Jagz has been off the music industry for a while now.

The rapper has not put out any new song in over two years with his recent album, ‘Garba,’ released in 2020.

In April, he had announced he will be dropping a new song.

Ahead of his forthcoming song, the rapper also revealed how Burna Boy influenced another part of his music career.

“Burna’s ‘Bank On It’ propelled another part of my music for life. Forever a classic!!,” he wrote.

Burna Boy put out ‘Bank On It’ in 2020. The hit track is off his album ‘Twice as Tall’.

In 2020, ‘Twice as Tall’ was nominated for the Best World Music Album at the Grammy Awards — a category it won the following year.

Jesse Jaz’s tweet comes at about the same time when Uti Nwachukwu, the media personality, had said Nigerians need what he described as “the Burna Boy kind of spirit” to survive the difficulties of any industry in the country.

Burna Boy rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’.

In 2017, he signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally.

His third studio album ‘Outside’ marked his major-label debut.
