In its Monday bulletin, the exam body disclosed that the 80,000 candidates can begin to check their results.

“Results of mop-up UTME held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, released,” said Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB spokesperson.

The mop-up exam is usually held for candidates who could not participate in the UTME during the period of the exercise for some verified reasons.

A total of 1,586,765 candidates registered for this year’s UTME.

The exam board released the results of the UTME — between April 25 and May 3 — last Tuesday.

Candidates who could not write the 2023 UTME within their allotted time and date due to technical glitches were thereafter rescheduled for May 6.

“One assurance we want to give Nigerians is that every candidate that has registered for this examination will certainly be given the opportunity to take the examination,” the JAMB spokesperson had said.

“On the first day, there were candidates who were unable to sit for the exam because of technical issues and we have rescheduled those candidates.”
