Controversy has trailed the details on Iyabo Oko’s health after the family initially announced her death.
Bisi Aisha, the actress’ daughter, had announced her mother’s death via Instagram on Wednesday night.
“My mum is gone. Rest well mummy. May ur soul Rest In Peace mummy,” she wrote, stirring up a media frenzy.
On Thursday morning, Aisha updated the post, saying her mother — thought to be dead — suddenly budged back to life.
“She moved her hand after being confirmed dead 3 hours ago. God, we’ll forever praise your holy name,” she said.

Iyabo Oko, whose real name is Sidikat Odukanwi, started acting as a teenager in 1973.
At that time, she was on the platform of the Eda Onileola theatre troupe.
Years ago, Iyabo Oko took an unexpected break from the acting scene due to complications as a result of a stroke.
She would later spend two years away from the acting scene — while the last time she was on a movie set is said to be in 2016.
