Ed Sheeran, an English singer-songwriter, and Cherry Seaborn, his wife, have welcomed their first child together — a baby girl.

The music star took to his social media page on Tuesday to break the good news alongside a photo of baby blanket and socks.

The 29-year-old singer revealed that they welcomed the baby last week, adding that the mother and child are in good condition.

He also disclosed the baby’s name as Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.

“Ello! A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you… Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran,” he wrote on Instagram.

Sheeran, however, appealed to the public to respect the family’s privacy during this period, noting that he would divulge further information “when it’s time to come back.”

“We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back…,” he added.

The development comes about two years after the ‘Shape of You’ crooner made his relationship with Seaborn public.

Sheeran has kept his relationship with Seaborn out of the spotlight. He, however, confirmed that they had gotten married in 2019 without releasing further information.
