‘I’m single’ — CeeC debunk dating rumour with Ike

CeeC, the former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, has addressed rumours claiming she is in a relationship with Ike Onyema, her colleague.

A recent video surfaced on social media showing the duo enjoying a meal together at a high-end restaurant.

In the footage, CeeC could be seen playfully touching herself while Ike filmed her. This led to widespread speculations about the nature of their relationship.

But in a post via X on Wednesday night, the reality TV star denied being in a romantic relationship with Ike.

CeeC said she is “currently single”, adding that “Ike and I are simply close friends”.

“As a public figure, I understand that my personal life often becomes subject to scrutiny, but I believe it’s important to set the record straight,” she wrote.

“I am currently single, and if and when I choose to enter into a romantic relationship, it will be my decision whether to share that with you all or not.

“I want to make it clear that Ike and I are simply close friends.

“In a world where friendships between a man and a woman are often misunderstood, I want to emphasize that platonic relationships are not only possible but also valuable.”

Mercy Eke, the 2019 BBNaija winner, and Ike were lovers during the show. Their relationship, however, hit the rocks.

Last year, Ike said he and Mercy would not get back together.
