SAINT OBI’S FAMILY CONFIRMS HIS DEATH

The family of Saint Obi spoke for the first time about the actor’s death and the allegations that trailed his demise.

Obi died on May 7. Zik Zulu, the filmmaker, had put out a tribute where he gave his thoughts on the circumstances surrounding his death.

In the tribute, Zulu claimed Obi’s marriage to Lynda Saint-Nwafor kept him away from his friends and Nollywood.

The filmmaker also alleged that the actor faced a wave of attacks from his in-laws which led to him leaving their marital home.

But on Thursday, the family of Obi described Zulu’s claims as “false, malicious and insensitive.”

The family added that the allegations are “unfair and in no way, shape or form an accurate” representation of who Lynda is.

While confirming the actor’s death, the family said the funeral rites will be communicated to the public in due course.

They also asked that their privacy be respected at this “mourning time”.
