Joyce Ijeoma, the Nigerian masseur, is seeking to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest massage on different individuals.

The lady began her 3-day attempt to set the new world record for the longest massage on different individuals on July 1.

In a post via Instagram, Ijeoma also called on well-wishers to come and support her quest at 29B Kusenla Road, opposite Ave Maria Catholic Church, Ikate, Lekki in Lagos.

In a flyer accompanying the post, the lady said the attempt is official.

“A special invite to you all as I attempt to set a new record for longest massage on different individuals. Please come through for me,” she said.

“Your support and physical presence would be very much appreciated. Come with your family and friends even your enemies. This record has not been set by anyone.”

She also shared a video indicating that she has done 22 of the 72 hours earmarked for the massage.

It, however, remains to be seen if the Guinness World Records is aware of the attempt.

The current record for the world’s longest massage is held by Alastair Galpin. The South African man completed the task in 25 hours and 4 minutes in Indonesia in 2015.

Ijeoma’s attempt comes after Hilda Baci, another Nigerian lady, set a new record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Many Nigerians have since decided to follow in Hilda’s footsteps as they attempt to break records from the longest cooking marathon to the longest teaching marathon.
