The 27-track album is not just Beyoncé’s first country album but the second installment in a potential trilogy of albums beginning with ‘Renaissance’, the singer’s 2022 project.

The album’s arrival follows a Super Bowl LVIII commercial tease in February.

Shortly after, Beyoncé released two singles off the ‘Act II’ album — ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’, (which made history as Beyoncé’s first No. 1 on both the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts) and ‘16 Carriages’.

‘Cowboy Carter’ boasts an impressive list of features, including country legends Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, alongside modern hitmakers like Miley Cyrus and Post Malone.

Linda Martell, the first Black woman on the Grand Ole Opry stage, also adds her magic to the mix.

The tracklist includes intriguing titles such as ‘Ameriican Requiem’, ‘Blackbiird’, ’16 Carriages’, ‘Protector’, ‘My Rose’, ‘Smoke Hour’, ‘Texas Hold ’Em’, ‘Bodyguard’, ‘Dolly P’, ‘Jolene’, and  ‘Daughter’.

Others are ‘Spaghettii’, ‘Alliigator Tears’, ‘II Just for Fun’, ‘II Most Wanted’, ‘Levii’s Jeans’, ‘Flamenco’, ‘The Linda Martell Show’, ‘Ya Ya’, ‘Oh Louisiana’, ‘Desert Eagle’,  ‘Riiverdance’,  ‘II Hands II Heaven’, ‘Tyrant’, ‘Sweet ★ Honey ★ Buckiin’, and ‘Amen’.

Before the album release, Beyoncé revealed that the project was inspired by an unsavoury event several years ago.

She said ‘Cowboy Carter’ is not a country album but a “Beyoncé album”.

“It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t,” she wrote.
