DELTA CONCERT: PINNICK SUES DAVIDO 

Last week, Amaju Pinnick, the former NFF president, sued Davido over an alleged breach of agreement. 

This was after Davido allegedly failed to show up at the 19th edition of the Warri Again concert.

The organisers of the concert filed a lawsuit worth N2.3 billion against Davido Music Worldwide (DWM) limited before a high court in Effurun, Delta. 

The claimant — under the name Brownhill Investments Company Limited — is praying to the court for N150 million as legal and professional fees and an additional N30 million as the cost of filing the suit. 

They also seek an order directing Davido to tender a public apology on all his social media accounts and in two national daily newspapers for four consecutive days.

SEUN KUTI, AY MAKUN CLASH

Seun Kuti and AY Makun were in the news last week after the singer alleged that the comedian portrayed his daughter as a “dog in his skits”.

The Afrobeat singer had revealed that he mocked the stand-up comedian after his house was gutted by fire on August 6.

He claimed the comedian had “used my trials and tribulations to make a joke”.

Reacting to the allegations, AY denied ever portraying the singer’s child as a “dog” in his skits.

WIZKID GOES ON 5-YEAR MUSIC BREAK!

 Wizkid, the Afrobeats star, last Sunday, hinted that he is on a five-year hiatus from music. 

The multiple award-winning singer shared a direct message received from an inquisitive fan asking when he will release a new song.

“Afa drop songs now abi ogun they k*ll you,” the fan wrote.

In his response, the singer said he would not be dropping music in the next four to five years.

He also contemplated different activities he would engage in during his break.

The Afrobeats star urged his fans to prioritise their well-being and cherish moments with loved ones.

EVA ALORDIAH: WHY I STOPPED MAKING MUSIC

Eva Alordiah, the rapper, revealed that she took a break from her “seemingly successful music career”  because “depression had taken a seat” in her life and she was “burnt out”.

Alordiah said she became a “starving artiste” but decided to invest three years in “self-development and learning how to make money”.

She said she would not change anything because “today my life is so much better”.

BURNA BOY OFFERS TO PAY BLOGS TO STOP WRITING ABOUT HIM

Burna Boy said he is willing to pay blogs to stop publishing news stories about him.

The singer called out some blogs and asked them to decide how much he would pay them to “forget my name totally”. 

“How far, abeg make all of una do meeting then decide how much I go give all of una make una forget my name totally,” he wrote. 

“I know say I never pay any of una before so I say make I just run am finally. I greet you bros!!”

 NAIRA MARLEY DRUGGED MY CHILDREN’S FOOD, IYABO OJO ALLEGES

Last week, Iyabo Ojo alleged that Naira Marley, the Marlian Records boss, “spiked my children’s food and drinks with drugs during visits to his residence”. 

The actress said she is awaiting the outcome of the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death before pursuing her own case against Marley.

“I thought Naira Marley was a sensible person. I used to send my children to his house and he would be giving them drugs to take,” she said.

“He used to put it in their food and drink and you think I will support him? I am waiting for the justice for Mohbad’s case to be completed before I start my own case with him.”
