Davido and Lojay have become the latest Nigerian acts to debut on the Billboard Hot 100.

The pair both made their first appearances on the chart, courtesy of their featured credits on Chris Brown’s hit song ‘Sensational’.

According to the latest publication by Billboard, ‘Sensational’ secured the 96th position on the Hot 100.

Last year, Brown released ‘Sensational’ — as a track off his 11th studio album titled ’11:11′.

Billboard also revealed that ‘Sensational’ has “garnered 15.7 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 14%) and 2.6 million official U.S. streams (up 3%) in the January 19 to 25 tracking week”.

‘Sensational’ has gained traction in several radio formats including a rise from 11th to 9th on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, from 16 to 10 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and 16th position to 14th on Rhythmic Airplay.

It also debuted at No. 30 on Adult R&B Airplay. On the all-format Radio Songs chart, it rose from 49th to 44th.

Davido has earned Billboard U.S. Afrobeats songs chart with 25 songs, making him the fourth artiste with the most tracks on the chart after Burna Boy (44), Asake (34), and Wizkid (27).

Some of Davido’s songs on the chart include ‘Stand Strong’ ft. Sunday Service Choir (2022), ‘Unavailable’ ft. Musa Keys (No. 3, 2023), and ‘Over Dem’ (No. 10, 2023).

On Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, Davido has also charted 27 songs since 2016.

Davido and Lojay have joined the list of other Nigerian artistes — including Burna Boy, Tems, Wizkid  Rema, Ckay, and Fireboy — to enter the Billboard Hot 100.

‘Timeless’, Davido’s fourth music project, the Afrobeats singer, made Billboard’s 50 ‘Best Albums of 2023′ list.
