‘Timeless’, the fourth album by Davido, the Afrobeats singer, has made Billboard’s ’50 best albums of 2023′ list.

In the list released on Wednesday, Davido clinched the 39th spot.

‘Timeless’ was released on March 31. The album housed 17 tracks.

Billboard hailed the album and described it as the best of Davido’s career.

“What Davido achieves on Timeless truly lives up to his acclaim,” the magazine wrote.

“Davido delivers one of the best bodies of work from this past year, and certainly the best of his career.

“Simply put, Timeless is a triumph, and a landmark album in the global explosion of Afrobeats.”

Since the launch of the album, ‘Timeless’ has continued to rake in millions of streams across global music platforms.

In April, the project secured the 37th spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The body of work also set its first-day streaming record for an African album on Apple Music in the same month.

On November 10, the album earned Davido his first nomination for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Davido’s career officially took off in 2011 with the release of  ‘Dami Duro’, his debut single.

With strings of awards and honourary mentions, the singer has established himself as one of the leading names in the African music industry.
