Olamide, Naira Marley, and Teni are among the celebrities who paid tributes to Mohbad, the fast-rising singer, who died at the age of 27.

Mohbad, a former artiste of Marlian Records, which is owned by Naira Marley, passed away on Tuesday.

Although the cause of the singer’s death is yet to be known, tributes have been pouring from friends and well-wishers including celebrities.

Olamide, the Nigerian rapper, took to his X page to mourn the late singer with a terse post which reads; “Damn, Mohbad.”

In the same vein, Frank Edoho, the ace broadcaster, honoured the late singer on X.

“For the age of 27, his voice was too rich and mature. See depressing! Rest in peace, Mohbad,” he wrote.

Teni, the Nigerian singer, also expressed sadness over the singer’s demise.

“Fly with the angels Mohbad!! Live forever,” she wrote.

Blaqbonez, the Nigerian rapper, wrote: “RIP Mohbad, may you find peace” while Tacha Akide, the reality TV star, said “Mohbad!! Life is just too short.”

Naira Marley, his former record label boss also reacted to the singer’s death via Instagram.
