The poet was evicted on the final day of the reality show.

In an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the 22-year-old admitted that she was indeed in a relationship with Khalid before his eviction.

But after his exit from BBNaija, Daniella got entangled with Dotun — in a development that attracted mixed reactions on social media.

Speaking with Ebuka, Daniella said she owes Khalid an apology because she overstepped “certain boundaries”.

The reality star also revealed that she plans to discuss the possibility of a “fresh start” with Khalid.

“For Khalid, I just want clarity on a lot of things and I feel like I do owe him an apology to be honest because I had put myself in a lot of issues,” she said.

“I was thrown off by the things I heard yes, but he wasn’t there to defend himself.

“So I feel like I do owe him an apology for passing certain boundaries. When we have that conversation, when I talk to him, we’ll know what happens next.”

Daniella continued: “The first day of the merger, I heard so many things and I was like okay, oh my God. Then we started talking more and obviously if you had watched from the moment Khalid left, that whole entire week I was not myself.

“I was struggling to just find my balance in the house and then Dotun came and was being as present as he could. It helped and I’m grateful for that.”

Daniella also admitted that Dotun was the only male housemate “I actually liked”.

“It was Dotun first. Dotun was the only person I actually liked. We spoke at our first party and after our first conversation, I was like ‘This was going on well.’ And then he made a last statement and said ‘I think we’ll make really good friends,’” she said.

“I was like okay cause I work with words. I zeroed my mind then. I had to start giving Khalid attention.”

When Ebuka asked if she felt like she disrespected Khalid by having something with Dotun, she said: “Absolutely, I feel like I did go too far. I don’t regret having a friendship with Dotun but I do regret the events that occurred in the friendship.”
