Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the Nigerian TV host, has reacted to the claims that Groovy, the BBNaija 2022 housemate, has a mouth odour.
During the first unveiling of housemates on Saturday, a video went viral, sparking assumptions that Groovy has bad breath.
In the video, Ebuka could be seen making a facial expression and touching his nose while Groovy was speaking to him.
A number of social media users concluded that Ebuka’s gesture suggested he was warding off bad breath.
But in a Twitter post on Sunday, Ebuka said he was just scratching his nose.

He also begged social media users to allow the housemate “rest”.
“And na nose I bin dey scratch o! Make una allow Groovy rest abeg,” he wrote.

This year’s edition of Big Brother Nigeria titled ‘Level Up’ kick-started on Saturday. 24 housemates were unveiled over the weekend.
The first 12 housemates were unveiled on Saturday while the remaining housemates were announced on Sunday.
The show is billed to run for 72 days and the winner will go home with a grand prize of N100 million.
The cash prize for this year BBNaija’s edition is N50 million while the other N50 million is an estimation of prizes from the sponsors.
