AY Makun, the comedian, on Tuesday, stirred confusion on social media over a birthday post of a 17-year-old lad he referred to as his son.

The entertainer took to his Instagram page to wish the young man named Denzel a happy birthday.

Makun also expressed his eagerness to reunite with Denzel, adding that “daddy loves you”.

“My son is 17. May each day be a step closer to your dreams, filled with the warmth of love and the thrill of new adventures,” he wrote.

“Happy birthday, Denzel. Daddy loves you. See you soon.”

However, it turns out that Denzel is the son of Morenike Ebimami, the comedian’s sister.

Morenike had celebrated the young lad three days ago on Instagram.

She wrote: “Denzel May this year bring you growth, joy, and the realization of your dreams. You make my heart proud every day!”

“Wishing the most incredible 17-year-old son a fantastic birthday! Your strength and kindness light up my world. Enjoy your day my pride.”

The comedian got married to Mabel in 2008. Their union is blessed with two daughters — Michelle and Ayomide.

In January, the lovebirds sparked rumours of a marital crisis after Mabel shared a cryptic post about a particular person allegedly threatening her life.

However, AY’s birthday post elicited curiosity, with many of his followers inquiring why he used words like “son” and “daddy”.

Other users also tackled the comedian over the controversial post.

“Wait ooooo update don land So AY Comedian have a Son from Another women ??? Ahhh Warri una do this on,” a user wrote on X.

The comedian is yet to address the controversy.
