Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has advised men not to marry ladies who can’t cook and do house chores.

The 65-year-old clergyman gave the advice in a flurry of tweets on Monday.

His comment comes as a reiteration of his previous stance on marriage, having charged church members to not marry “lazy girls” who can’t endure a one-hour long prayer session back in 2016.

In one of the tweets, the cleric cautioned his “sons” not to marry a “worldly” girl.

“My sons, don’t marry a lady who can’t cook. She needs to know how to do chores and cook because you can’t afford to be eating out all the time,” Adeboye wrote.

“My sons, don’t marry a girl who is worldly. If you do, you have carried what you’ll worship for the rest of your life.”

Last month, Adeboye, while addressing extramarital relationships, had said he asked his son to fire his secretary after he admitted being eager to get to work on Mondays just to enjoy her company.

The clergyman also came under criticism after he, on two occasions, hinted on plans to create more parishes and build an auditorium as big as Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
