CHEF DAMI DEBUNKS ‘MILLIONNAIRE NARRATIVE’

Damilola Adeparusi, the chef, trended last week after she made a video to clarify “the millionaire narrative” being circulated about her.

Adeparusi, fondly called Chef Dami, said contrary to rumours, she does not own a car yet. She also said she did not hire the security personnel seen around her.

YVONNE NELSON’S CONTROVERSIAL MEMOIR

Yvonne Nelson, the Ghanaian actress, opened up on her previous relationships in ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, her new book.

Nelson and Iyanya Mbuk, the singer, had an affair between 2012 and 2015.

In the book, Nelson alleged that her union with Iyanya crashed because of the singer’s infidelity.

She claimed the musician had an affair with Tonto Dikeh while they were still together.

On his part, Iyanya revealed that he still thinks about the Ghanaian actress.

Nelson also said she aborted a pregnancy for rapper Sarkodie in 2010.

Last week, Kcee revealed he now wears mask to present a new version of himself.

The singer said he has shown his face for over two decades, adding that he needs to “give it a touch of Lagbaja 2.0”.

BILL GATES RESEARCHED ON BURNA BOY, REMA

Last Wednesday, Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, said he did a research on Burna Boy and Rema before he visited Nigeria.

Speaking in Lagos, the philanthropist said Phoebe, his 20-year-old daughter, told him about the music stars while planning his visit to the country.

Gates added that after their conversation, he looked them up online to familiarise himself with their works.

KHOSI: I AM YET TO GET BBTITANS’ CASH PRIZE

Khosi, the 2023 Big Brother Titans (BBTitans) winner, said she is yet to receive her cash prize about two months after the show ended.

The fitness trainer, however, said she is not in a rush and will get the money “by the time everyone forgets that I am a millionaire”.

US RAPPER BIG POKEY SLUMPS, DIES ON STAGE

Last week, Big Pokey, US rapper, passed away after he slumped on stage at a show in Texas.

He was performing at a Juneteenth-themed event at a bar in Beaumont when he fell on his back.

He was pronounced dead by medical officials after he was rushed to the hospital.

HILDA BACI GETS GWR PLAQUE

Hilda Baci finally unveiled her Guinness World Records (GWR) plaque last week.

The excited chef had earlier received the plaque and shared the video online.

TRINITY GUY TO APPEAR IN COURT OVER ‘CHILD ABUSE’ PRANK

Trinity Guy, the skit maker, made the headlines last week over his controversial pranks.

Olumiyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson, had earlier condemned a prank by the skit maker bordering on “child abuse”.

The Oyo police command thereafter invited him for interrogation.

The entertainer will be charged to court today — June 26 — for allegedly sexualising a minor in his video.

Maria Chike, the former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate, is expecting her first child.

The reality TV star unveiled her baby bump in an emotional video last Friday.

Wizkid has become the first African artiste to headline the Glastonbury Festival’s Other Stage.

The reunion of 2022 Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemates commenced recently and has left a lot of dramas in its wake.

PHARMSAVI VS ELOSWAG

Pharmsavi said he felt betrayed that Eloswag, his friend, put him up for eviction.

He said he was shocked when Biggie announced that he was going home.

The pharmacist said as the Head of House (HoH) then, he had expected Eloswag to save him from eviction for the week.

He added that the incident has made it difficult for him to trust Eloswag again.

CHICHI VS PHYNA 

Phyna stirred the hornet’s when she made some harsh comments about Chichi.

During a heated argument, Phyna claimed Chichi left her husband and children. She also alleged that this led to the death of one of the dancer’s children.

Phyna also claimed Chichi exploited the loss of her parents as a strategy to attract pity on the show.

DEJI AND CHICHI 

Deji and Chichi engaged in a war of words over their failed relationship.

Deji argued that he was not in a relationship with the exotic dancer while Chichi accused him of trying to “manipulate” her.

But the pharmacist later apologised to the dancer for his remarks.

AKPORORO: OBI WILL BE IN COURT FOR EIGHT YEARS… TINUBU’S ELECTION VICTORY STANDS

Akpororo, the comedian, came under fire for saying Peter Obi, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, will be in court for eight years.

The entertainer, in a viral video, described the president as a healthy and intelligent man who will serve the country for eight years.

He said Obi, on the other hand, will appeal Tinubu’s election victory for eight years.

YHEMOLEE: I RECOMMENDED ASAKE TO OLAMIDE

Yhemolee, the singer, said he recommended Asake to Olamide and got him signed to the YBNL music label.

The nightlife influencer said Olamide’s interest to feature in ‘Omo Ope’, Asake’s hit-song, marked the turning point in the latter’s career.
