It is basically most of what you can do with Snapchat.

The update allows you to add text, draw and scribble on photos and videos including old media already stored in your phone.

Whatsapp now supports front facing flash and video.

“Whether you’re drawing a big red heart to show how much you miss someone or adding your favorite emoji—sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words,” wrote WhatsApp in a blog post.

“Try adding text too, and change the color and font style”, the post added.

This exciting new update is currently being rolled out to Android users and will “soon” be available for iPhone users.

In the highly competitive tech market, every company is aiming to be fully rounded so as not to lose their users.

This is the second Facebook-owned application to incorporate Snapchat features after Instagram added the ‘stories’ feature in its update a few month ago.
