Shehu Sani, the Nigerian senator, has promised to do all he can to help John Mr. Ibu Okafor who is currently battling with an undisclosed illness.

On Wednesday, the ace actor pleaded for financial aid and prayers while expressing concern that his legs might be amputated.

Since a video of Ibu on the sickbed hit the internet, several people have taken to the comment section of his Instagram post to announce their donations for the ailing actor.

In a recent tweet via X, Sani said the ace actor has “illuminated the homes of countless Nigerians” with his humor.

The senator also assured that he will ensure that the attention of notable Nigerians is drawn to Ibu’s plight.

“Mr Ibu is my favorite artist and Comedian. He lights up and entertains the homes of millions of Nigerians,” he wrote.

“We shall not let him down for reasons we can all collectively solve. We shall do the needful and also bring the attention of the big names to do the needful.”

Earlier, Paul Okoye, the singer, said a Nollywood legend like Ibu deserves better for “bringing joy to our screens all these years”.

He also called on his colleagues and fans to support the actor.
