Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Nigerian Afropop singer better known as Wizkid, has taken fans by surprise after he dropped the visuals to his previously released single ‘Ghetto Love’.
The video was dropped on September 13 at a time when fans were hardly expecting any release from the singer following his previous disclosure about his forthcoming single.
It also comes several months after Wizkid had hinted he would be releasing a record-breaking album and amid the pressure from fans who have taken to social media to poke the 29-year-old Afrobeats sensation into action.
‘Ghetto Love’ opens with Wizkid flanked on both sides by an entourage of suited men as he approaches the spotlight and the deafening cheers of a massive crowd who are, undoubtedly waiting for the singer to perform on stage.
It also portrays scenes reflective of the Nigerian modus vivendi, including one of an indifferent African boy looking into the horizon of the rising sun as he sails through beneath a typical Lagos bridge and takes his first steps towards stardom

Wizkid has always been the one for surprises and his recent career strides have not only amassed him a deluge of ever-loyal fans but also a hoard of prestigious awards, nominations, and collaborative deals with both indigenous and foreign artistes.
