Wizkid, award-winning singer, has announced the release date for his forthcoming single — long after he had teased a yet-to-be-released album dubbed ‘Made in Lagos‘ in 2018.

The singer took to his Twitter handle to disclose that a song would be coming from him on September 6, after an inquisitive fan had requested to know when he would be releasing a new single.

Although Wizkid didn’t reveal the name of the forthcoming single, the singer had similarly teased a slew of songs during a live session on Instagram and thereafter flaunted a yet-to-be-released collaborative track with Teni dubbed ‘Pansa’.

In 2018, the talented singer had clearly stated that ‘Made in Lagos’ would not include any collaboration and will be “straight Wizkid”.

He, however, later said that he was working with Teniola Apata, Burna Boy, and Shaydee Boi. He was also spotted with Demian Marley in a studio session.

The 29-year-old has made impressive masterstrokes over the course of his career and recently featured alongside global stars on Beyonce’s 2019 album ‘Lion King’.

In August 2019, Wizkid became the first African artiste to hit 8 million listeners on Spotify, a digital streaming platform that gives access to millions of songs worldwide and pays royalties based on the number of streams.
