MI Abaga, Simi, and Mayorkun were among the artistes that performed at ‘No Music, No Life’, a concert organised by Chike, the Nigerian singer.

The event, hosted by the duo of Funny Bone and Melody Hassan, took place at the Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday night.

Blaqbonez and Olakira also performed at the event as they thrilled the audience with several of their hit songs.

It is understood that the concert, originally scheduled to start by 7 pm was delayed till 11:30 pm.

Chike is known for participating in Project Fame West Africa. He also finished in second place during season one of The Voice Nigeria.

He made his acting debut as Mayowa Badmus in the Africa Magic Showcase telenovela ‘Battleground’.

In 2020, Chike released ‘Boo of the Booless’, his debut album, which featured hit tracks such as ‘Running (To You)’ and ‘If You No Love.’

The musician had earlier disclosed that it took him three years to find his feet after his stint on The Voice Nigeria.

“They (reality shows) give visibility…but is it really about you or the business? The business, to me, is to entertain Nigerians and I want to believe the greatest win any contestant could get was the visibility,” he had said.

“And it could be the greatest setback for you too if you’re not able to do anything with it. After the reality show, it took me about three years plus to be able to get anything properly to sort myself. So, imagine everybody knows you because you appeared on TV, then all of a sudden, you’re nowhere again.”
