Laycon, the rapper and former BBNaija winner, has come through with the visuals for ‘2000’, his single featuring Toby Shang.

The ‘Fall For Me’ crooner took to his social media pages to release the less than three-minute video in the early hours of Thursday.

The video opens with an aesthetic background as the camera portrays the vixens in their different arrays of costumes.

In the visuals, Laycon aims a dig at ladies who live “fake lives” on Instagram, and those who “bill” men for money.

“Awon omo ti won bi ni 2000/ Won need urgent 2000/ Fine guy way into stardom/ Iranu won por ifuka kan/ Awon omo, sub fun mi/ Awon omo, make I send my aza/ Awon omo, show me love na/ Awon omo, make we pop na,” he sings in a mixture of Pidgin and Yoruba.

The audio was released in May.

The track already has a viral challenge on Instagram and Twitter, with users performing the dance steps specially created for the song.

Born Olamilekan Agbeleshioba, the singer rose to prominence after he won the BBNaija fifth edition.

Since winning the show, Laycon has continued to enjoy fame in the country’s entertainment industry with beautiful projects as well as endorsement deals.

In September 2021, he released ‘I Am Laycon’, his second album. This was after his debut project Shall We Begin’ in April.

Toby Shang, on the other hand, is an MC and hype man. He is popular for releasing party hype tapes such as ‘Shedibalabala’ and ‘Run This Town’.
