Laycon, the rapper and former BBNaija winner, has come through with ‘2000’, a new single featuring Toby Shang.

The 28-year-old released the less than four-minute track in the early hours of Friday.

In the track, the ‘Fierce’ crooner brings his imposing vocals to the melody while Toby Shang leaves no stone unturned with the hype in the background.

The track already has a viral challenge on Instagram and Twitter titled #The2000Challenge, with users performing the dance specially created for the song.

Born Olamilekan Agbeleshioba, the singer rose to prominence after he won the fifth edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show.

Since winning the show, Laycon has continued to pull the weight of fame in the country’s entertainment industry with significant projects as well as endorsement deals.

On July 2, 2021, the reality star delivered a soulful performance of ‘All Over Me’, his hit song, for the Grammy Recording Academy.

A month later, he also released ‘I Am Laycon’, his second album following his debut work Shall We Begin’.

Toby Shang, on the other hand, is an MC and hype man. He is popular for releasing party hype tapes such as ‘Shedibalabala’ and ‘Run This Town’.
