Omoni Oboli, Nollywood actress and producer, has shared a teaser for ‘Love is War’, her highly anticipated film, starring Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).

In the movie teaser, Oboli, who plays the character of Mrs. Philips, is happily married to RMD (Mr. Phillips).

The beautiful union takes a different dimension after the husband and wife both win the nominations as the governorship candidates of two major parties.

The talented film producer, who turns out to be her party’s first female governorship candidate, is pitted against her husband in a fierce battle to become the governor of a certain state.

‘Love is War’, which is expected to hit cinemas across the country on September 27, narrates the rivalry and drama that played out after the couple insidiously jettison love in their quest for power.

The scriptwriter and film director also spoke about what the film means to her, saying “the issues at play in this movie are very dear to my heart and I can’t wait for the audience to experience my vision.”

The film is a joint production between Oboli’s Dioni Visions and Inkblot Productions.

On working with Inkblot, she said it’s a pleasure, because “they understand my desire to tell stories about Women’s issues and families. I was excited to collaborate with them again on Love is War.”

Written by Chinaza Onuzo, and directed by Omoni Oboli, the film features a plethora of notable movie stars including Jide Kosoko, Akin Lewis, Bimbo Manuel, Toke Makinwa, Shaffy Bello, Femi Branch, Uzo Osimkpa, Yomi Black, Damilare Kuku and William Benson.
