The children of late thespian Adeyemi Afolayan are organising a film week in his honour.

Although the remembrance celebration started a few days ago, his children, who took after their father in the acting business, have chosen to use his 20th-year remembrance to show some of his iconic movies.

Kunle Afolayan announced this on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

The movies will be showing at the national theatre and three different cinemas across the country.

“Adelove film week! Kadara, Taxi driver 1 and 2 will be showing at National theatre, LTV 8 and Lagos airport hotel, Ikeja from 24th December till January 2nd and will show at Silverbird cinemas in Lagos and Abuja, Genesis cinema in Palms and Maryland, Viva cinema in Ibadan and Ilorin from 29th December.

“Let’s celebrate an icon and 4 decades of cinema in Nigeria. Ire.”

Adeyemi Afolayan, who is popularly known by his stage name Ade Love, was a Nigerian film actor, director and producer.

He is the brother of actress Toyin Afolayan as well as father to film actors, Kunle Afolayan, Gabriel Afolayan, Moji Afolayan and Aremu Afolayan.
