The ‘Ye’ hitmaker turned 32 on July 2 — a day he rescheduled for his ‘Love, Damini’ concert at the 41,000-capacity Gelredome Arnhem Stadium.

The singer was delivering a powerful rendition of some of his hit tracks to the cheering audience when his mother and crew took over the stage to celebrate his birthday.

Burna Boy could not hide his excitement as his family members presented him with a set of balloons and a cake.

Clad in a blue sleeveless shirt and white pants, Burna Boy would later step off the stage to gift his cake to the cheering concertgoers.

Reacting via an Instagram post, Burna Boy said the surprise had come in the way he wanted.

“Midnight of the 2nd, doing what I love, Headlining a festival In front of 45,000 amazing people 🇳🇱. I wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️,” he wrote.

Burna Boy had last month canceled the Netherlands show due to “a number of reasons”.

Born Damini Ogulu, the singer gained prominence after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

He performed at the 2023 UEFA Champions League (UCL) final in June and was recently announced as the first African artiste to hit one billion Audiomack streams.
