Being on a reality TV show is both a blessing and a curse woven together intricately. While the platform comes with fame and fortune, one can never seem to break away from its gilded shell. The show’s heavy shadow frames everything one does after — completely clouding out some. It was so for Tobi Bakre for a few years since he contested in Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala in 2018. All he did was tag with the empty yet noisy cans of the platform. Bakre wasn’t simply an actor but an ex-BBN star-turned-actor.
But everything changed in 2022 for Bakre. He finally achieved the goal he had his mind set out on when he stripped out of the lifejacket of his banking job and dived into the uncharted vastness of the entertainment industry.
With ‘Brotherhood’, he won the best actor in the 2023 African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA); an achievement that elevates him into the pantheon of some of Nigeria’s top thespians.
Bakre’s rise is not limited to acting, as his brilliance also extends into his fashion sense. A former career model, he surely has the body and charisma to rock an attire till it inspires awe. His well-chiselled body adorns his attire with its grace and sexiness. A dinner three-piece suit or an Agbada for his pre-wedding shot, the budging biceps and round shoulders accentuate the beauty.
