Isreal ‘DMW’ Afeare, Davido’s logistics manager, left fans in awe as he opened the singer’s O2 Arena show.
He came on stage clad in a Benin native attire and addressed the crowd in Benin language.
Afeare also held a bell which he rang as he ran around on stage showering praises on Davido.
This stirred reactions among fans on social media and Davido was praised for allowing Israel to open the show.
Some months ago, Afeare was suspended by Davido after he defended Abba Kyari, the suspended deputy commissioner of police (DCP).
Kyari had been accused of collecting bribes from Ramon Abbas, the internet fraudster better known as Hushpuppi.
This was after FBI had released documents implicating the celebrated officer as one of Huspuppi’s co-conspirators.
Reacting, Israel took to Instagram to argue that he stands with Kyari.
His comments were said to have led to his dismissal from DMW, Davido’s record label.
Isreal would later take to social media where he appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to help save his job.
Davido later lifted the suspension of the PA.
