The long-awaited trailer for the epic sci-fi film was released on Wednesday, treating movie lovers to a glimpse of the fictional world of the Arrakis and giant sandworms that come with the desert planet.

Based on a novel by Frank Herbert, the movie, which is directed by Denis Villeneuve, who also has directorial credits for ‘Blade Runner 2049’, follows a 1984 original film and a 2000 TV series.

‘Dune’ is set in the distant future of a feudal interstellar society in which nobles control planetary fiefs, and tells the story of young Paul Atreides, whose family accepts the stewardship of Arrakis.
