‘April Showers‘, a movie starring Pere Egbi, former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate, is set to hit the cinemas on October 15.
The forthcoming movie, produced by Sandra Bremaud, Nigerian filmmaker, examines the everyday challenges African women endure to achieve their dreams.
It follows the story of a rich and influential entrepreneur who realised that at the age of 40, she has gotten everything she wanted in life except one thing.
The project is directed by Richard Omos Iboyi and features several movie stars including Lilian Esoro, Eyinna Nwigwe, Kunle Remi, Gbenga, Titiloye, and Okpara Priscilla.
Others include Anthony Monjaro, Racheal Emem Isaac, Obatidey Kelvin, Thelma Ibemere, Ogaga Godwin, and Shasha B Ekama.
Pere emerged as one of the finalists at this year’s edition of BBNaija titled ‘Shine Ya Eye’.
While the show lasted, the spotlight beamed on him after he was involved in a heated face-off with White Money, the eventual winner.
The development had fetched him heated criticisms, as many social media users accused him of trying to bully the entrepreneur — a claim he denied.
Pere had also recently addressed the matter, saying that he is not having any misunderstanding with the photographer as believed in some quarters.
The reality TV star is also among prominent names who featured in ‘Charge & Bail’, a movie directed by Uyoyou Adia, which is also scheduled to debut in cinemas on October 15.
