Toyin Adegbola, the Nigerian actress better known as Toyin Tomato, caused a stir at an Ibadan mall on Saturday over allegations that her daughter was involved in shoplifting.
Shoplifting is a crime which involves stealing goods from a shop while pretending to be a customer.
In a video shared via her Instagram page, the film star alleged that her daughter — who according to her is married — was “molested at the mall” over the allegation.
The 60-year-old was also seen threatening legal action against staff of the mall while demanding evidence of the shoplifting allegation against her daughter.
This was just as staff of the mall could be seen pleading with her while calling for an amicable resolution.
“I’m here to cause trouble for them, I will not leave here until I’m being arrested. I’m here to cause trouble. This is Shoprite, Ring Road, Ibadan,” she said in an Instagram live video.
“Tunji, you were here when they were molesting my child, my daughter. She is a married woman, why would someone do that to me? I will not tolerate that.
“I was taken from hospital bed, you can see the drip on my hand. You have to show me the evidence that my daughter shoplifted, I’ll sue you guys. My lawyers will write you officially.”
In the later part of the video, the actress said the matter had been resolved. She also thanked fans for their support.
“Thank you my fans all over the world, we’re are resolving the matter already. You know I don’t like trouble, I’ll keep you updated,” she added.
