In an interview with TheCable Lifestyle, the Shuga actor says he’s unperturbed.

“It happens in anything that you do. People have their opinion about whatever you are doing, I only deal with the positive vibes,” he said.

“It’s a great thing having someone like Dakore as family that loves me, helps and gives me direction.

“I believe that you get what you give out so I give positive vibes so that negativity doesn’t find it’s way to me and that is how it has been.”

Egbuson, who acts as Tobi in MTV’s Shuga, says he doesn’t have much similarities with the character.

“I like the fact that he is a direct opposite of me in reality, maybe not a direct opposite but I like that we don’t have a lot of similarities so that gives me leeway to go into it as an actor and give a good performance,” he said.

“I hang around with friends that I know share some things with the character, Tobi, and use that to portray the character better.

“Tobi is a sweet guy and I know I am a sweet guy too so I can say we have that in common.”

The University of Lagos graduate of psychology says he loves being an actor.

“Life is as actor is amazing and it has its perks but most importantly, I’m doing what I love and I’m growing.”
