Nigerians were embarassed to learn on Friday that the speech delivered by President Muhammadu Buhari at the ‘Change Begins with Me’ campaign was partially plagiarised.
After careful perusal, it became evident that it shared some similarities with the 2008 election victory speech delivered by Barack Obama, president of the United States.
The discovery has elicited series of reactions and the president has ordered that disciplinary action be taken against those responsible for the insertion.
Twitter, a social media platform, has been agog with various remarks from Nigerians.
Here are some of them:
Ngwanu #TheStolenSpeech is trending. Mrs Trump from Daura has done it again… Where did we go wrong? Where?

If you deliver like Obama,I'm sure a lot of people will notice. It is the poor delivery that is even more annoying. Why waste an Obama speech?
