The skit maker was reacting to the arrest of Aminu Adamu, a student, over his controversial tweet about the first lady.

Aminu, who hails from Azare in Bauchi state, is a final-year student at the department of environmental management at the Federal University Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa state

TheCable had reported that the student was arrested by the police over a tweet apparently mocking Aisha.

The tweet, which was posted in Hausa in June 2022, reads: “Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi.”

Accompanied by a photo of Aisha, it loosely translated: “Mama has eaten poor people’s money and is now full”.

Aminu was arrested on Monday, prompting public criticism of the first lady.

Joining the fray, Macaroni asked the first lady to go to court instead, if she feels hurt by Aminu’s social media post.

The comedian also said Aisha should stop “abusing” her powers as the first lady.

“Madam First Lady, you are not God! If you have any grievance whatsoever, go to court! You are not bigger than the Citizens of Nigeria neither are you bigger than the law!” the comedian wrote.

“You should use your power to serve the people not oppress them! Free Aminu!

“We dey chest am. [For] the ones we can’t chest, we go to court! Madam First Lady, stop abusing power!

“I can speak so much about issues like this because I have been a victim of oppression and brutality and I know how horrible the experience is!

“If you are being held by security agents with backing from political figures, they will do the unthinkable! Dem go lick you finish!”
