Stephen Bear, the 2016 Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) winner, has been sentenced to 21 months in jail for sharing a private video of him having sex with his ex-partner.
The 33-year-old English reality star was handed jail time on Friday at Chelmsford crown court for uploading a video to OnlyFans of himself and Georgia Harrison, Love Island star, having sex in 2020 — without her permission.
In December last year, Bear was found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films.
During the trial, the reality star denied all charges against him.
He also claimed he deleted the footage and had only shared it with Harrison.
The judge, while sentencing him, wondered why the reality star “wished to exploit the economic value of the recording”.
“I’m sure that you recognised the enhanced economic value to you by having Georgia Harrison, a well-known reality TV and social media personality, in the video,” the judge said.
“She would have been known and recognised by many people.”
Speaking with reporters outside the court, Harrison said “today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through.”
“Today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through and sends a clear message that the police and courts take this matter very seriously,” she added.
“I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets on waiving my anonymity.
“I hope this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone who has been a victim of it, it gives them some sort of justice.”
