Gabrielle Union, the US actress, has expressed her admiration for Tems after the Afrobeats singer’s rendition at the NBA all-star halftime game.

During the half-time show, Tems — alongside Burna Boy and Rema –thrilled the audience at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City on Sunday night.

The star-studded crowd was on its feet, jamming to the songs as Tems hit the stage with ‘Crazy Tings,’ ‘Free Mind,’ ‘Essence,’ and ‘Higher’.

After the performance, Gabrielle was seen in a viral video lavishing the Nigerian songstress with praises.

The Hollywood star also described the Afrobeats singer as “the queen,” adding that “there is only one Tems”.

“There is only one Tems. There is only one. This is the queen. This is the queen,” Gabrielle said while they both laughed.

Born Temilade Openiyi, Tems won her first-ever Grammy award for her role in ‘Wait for U’, the 2022 hit song by Future featuring Drake.

The singer was recently nominated for different global awards that including the 54th National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards and the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.

Tems has also been shortlisted for the 2023 Oscars Award under the music (original song) category. The ceremony will be held on March 23, 2023.
