Indigenous entertainers have continued to make a killing in comedy and social media content creation.

Here is highlighting some skit makers whose consistency and ingenuity in content creation set them apart in 2021.

Oga Sabinus:


Sabinus Funnyman

Sabinus appeared to have gained increased social media acceptance in 2021. The funnyman forayed into the world of skit making at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in Rover state. He has also featured on such Nollywood titles as ‘Billionaire Bride’ and ‘Man of War’.



Mr Macaroni

Not only does he make rib-cracking skits. The funnyman is also known for his socially conscious media persona, actively championing the EndSARS movement and speaking out against state forces in 2021. His real name is Debo Adebayo. Macaroni starred in movies and soap operas but diverted to comedy in 2019.


Taaooma speaks on rivalry with Maraji


Her real name is Maryam Apaokagi. Taaooma started online comedy after convincing her fiancé to teach her the basics of video editing. She rose to stardom in 2019 and her skits are centered on exposing African mothers and their unique manner of disciplining African children with a slap.


Zicsaloma gained popularity after he competed in The Voice Nigeria. Zicsaloma started his career as a comedian in 2017. His comedy skits mimick how Nigerian mothers act and react to situations.


Broda Shaggi

He’s versatile, being a comedian, actor, songwriter, and musician. Beyond his comic content as a content creator, some of his recent acting credits are ‘Dwindle’ (2021) and ‘Day Of Destiny’ (2021).
