A report has revealed alleged incidents of violence involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the US rapper, during his college days.

Diddy has been named in eight civil lawsuits since November 2023 – seven directly accusing him of sexual assault.

On November 17, Cassie, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, accused the hip-hop mogul of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their 10-year relationship.

The lawsuit was, however, settled out of court one day after it was filed.

Diddy was then sued by five other women who claimed they were sexually abused by the music executive.

Lil Rod, who is his former producer, also alleged that the rapper sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him for over a year.

One of the lawsuits accused his son Christian Combs of sexual assault and Diddy of aiding and abetting.

On Tuesday, Rolling Stone published a report following a six-month investigation into the life of the rapper and the allegations against him.

The news outlet said it contacted more than 300 people who were acquainted with Diddy but only spoke to about 50 people.

The report details that the rapper — from his college days — has an alleged history of using violence and intimidation, particularly towards women.

It said several women who attended Howard University with Diddy, whose nickname was ‘Puff’, claimed to have seen signs of “a controlling and abusive personality decades ago”.

The women accused the rapper of previously unreported incidents involving “unwanted touching and fits of rage”.

One of his college colleagues said she kept “as far away as possible” after Diddy “caressed” her back without warning and asked if she would be willing to meet one of his friends.

Another colleague alleged that he “flew off the handle” after she objected to him cutting a cafeteria line.

A former classmate also recalled how Diddy appeared outside the school’s dormitory and started “screaming in a belligerent manner” for his girlfriend to come outside.

She said several female students were aware that Diddy was allegedly attacking his girlfriend outside the building and began raising the alarm in the dorm.

“Puff is out here acting crazy. He is beating her,” the former classmate quoted her colleague to have said.

“He screamed and hollered and acted a stone fool until she came downstairs. He whupped her butt — like really whupped her butt.

“She was trying to defend herself a little bit. She was crying. And we were telling him, ‘Get off of her.’ We were screaming for her.”

Diddy reportedly earned the nickname ‘Puff’ as a kid because he would “always huff and puff” whenever he got mad.

“I had a temper. That is why my friends started calling me Puffy,” the rapper said.

The US justice department is seeking an indictment of Diddy by bringing his accusers to testify before a federal grand jury.
