Regina Daniels, Nollywood star, says her “stubborn” nature makes it difficult for her to marry someone who’s her age mate.

In an interview with Ifedayo Olarinde, media personality better called Daddy Freeze, the wife of Ned Nwoko, a lawyer, politician and businessman billionaire, said such personality made her opt for her 58-year-old husband.

“I don’t think I would have married somebody of my age or a little bit older because I’m quite stubborn, very, very stubborn, my head is not down,” she told Daddy Freeze.

Her marriage to Nwoko has been the subject of heated controversies, with many questioning her choice of husband.

But in the interview, Regina said she is not moved by such criticisms, noting that she had learned to ignore it.

She stated that Nwoko has been coping with her “stubbornness” pretty well, adding that he respects her always.

“I was not bothered about what people would say about me. I was only bothered by how to break the news to my immediate family,” she said.

Asked what she calls her husband, she said: “He’s my baby.”

In an ostensible support for his wife’s statement, an excited Nwoko disclosed that he had always seen himself as a baby since he married the Nollywood sensation.

“I’m the youngest baby in town,” Nwoko said.

After months of speculations, Nwoko and Daniels brought their union to light on May 29, when they had their traditional wedding in Aniocha local government area, Delta.

In August, the duo had, for the first time, shared their photos together in a move that further doused protracted speculations about the relationship between them.

Rita Daniels, Regina’s mum, had recently said that she approved of her daughter’s marriage to the politician because she had told her she wanted to marry young.
