Tobi, daughter of Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo state, has graduated from Yale University in the United States.

The governor took to his social media pages to share photos from the ceremony wherein he is seen flanked by his wife and other family members.

He also congratulated his daughter on her new feat, adding that her “hard work and diligence paid off”.

“Congratulations, my darling Tobi on your graduation from Yale University yesterday. Your hard work and diligence paid off,” he wrote.

“Wishing you all the best as you embark on a new chapter of your life and I’m also glad that I have one less school fees to pay.”

This stretches the list of children of prominent Nigerians who have graduated from foreign varsities.

In 2022, Mayo, son of Gbenga Daniels, former governor of Ogun state, bagged a master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of London.

Muhammad Sanusi, former Emir of Kano also announced his son’s graduation from the University of Portsmouth in the same year.

Jordan, son of Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister also bagged a Law degree at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom in the same year.

The son of Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers state, also graduated from a Canadian university in 2021.
