The 95th edition of the Academy Awards, an annual ceremony that gives awards for artistic and technical merit in the film industry better known as the Oscars, was held at the Dolby Theatre in California, Los Angeles in the US on Sunday.

‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’ and ‘The Whale’ were among the big winners on the night.

In a break with tradition, the Oscars red carpet turned champagne-coloured for the night as many celebrities graced the occasion dressed in flashy and non-conforming couture; others rocked edgy and somewhat defiant outfits, showcasing exquisite taste in fashion styles.

In a vibrant display of colours and styles, the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry dazzled and left fans and fashion enthusiasts with a lot to ponder.

Tems, the Afrobeats star, also attracted attention over her choice of a particularly obstructive headpiece with a lush white gown from Lever Couture. Her style for the event has received mixed reactions from social media users.
