In a recent interview, the music producer said the original song featured Omah Lay.

Pheelz said he, however, took the singer’s verse out due to “some threats I received.”

The producer said he noticed Omah Lay was also releasing a track on the same day as ‘Finesse’ and discussed with the singer to remove him from the song.

According to Pheelz, Omah Lay agreed to his request and told him to release the song.

“The original ‘Finesse’ was Pheelz, Benson, Omah Lay, yes, that was the final track,” he said.

“So I spoke with my manager, I was like I have to drop this song but I don’t like all these threats. But I am not worried.

“So it now happened that the day we were going to release it was the same day Omah was dropping his track with Justin Beiber.

“So I just spoke with Omah, I’m like I need to remove you for the song just so I can drop it because we can’t drop the song the same day.

“I’m like no vex but I need to drop the song, people don choke me. So he was like I understand broski, don’t worry, just let it fly.”

Pheelz also described Omah Lay’s verse as “insane” and promised to release it for the world to hear.

In 2022, Pheelz released ‘Finesse’. He also enlisted French Montana, the American rapper for the remix of the song.

He is signed to Warner Records.
