DJ Neptune has joined forces with Wande Coal for ‘Music Messiah, his highly-anticipated single.
Neptune, born Imohiosen Patrick, announced the release of the project on Friday.
On the amapiano-inclined song, both artists sing about their exploits in the music industry, as well as the influence and wealth they have garnered as a result of their mastery of the music business.
“Kilofe| Shey na money you go chop na you go tire| It’s not my fault ti mo gbona always on fire| It’s not because I’ve been singing since choir| Don’t you know that I am the music messiah| Look into my eyes and you can see the fire| I’ll be your Genie I’ll fulfil your desire,” they sing in a mixture of Yoruba, English language and Pidgin.
Neptune has established his brand as one to reckon with. His works span hip hop, afrobeats, funky house, dancehall, R&B, among other music genres.
He is known for tracks like ‘Nobody’ with Joeboy and Mr Eazi; ‘Demo’ with Davido; ‘1,2,3’ with M.I and the late Da Grin; ‘So Nice’ featuring Davido and Del B; ‘Wait’ with Kizz Daniel, among others.
