Naira Marley, the Nigerian singer, has put out a new single titled ‘Wahala’.

The 32-year-old Marlian Records head honcho announced the new song on his social media page on Friday.

In ‘Wahala’, Marley urges people to learn to avoid troubles even amid jealousy.

“Wọn ní kó try avoid trouble/ Àwọn egbe ẹ sha lọ ń brabble/ Èmi ti mo ní ìyàwó nílé/ Shey atewo ni wọn fẹ je nílé/ All of them jí wọn sote. Mo K an wo wọn bí Ben 10/ Wàhálà wàhálà Ọlọ́run má je kaa rí wàhálà/ Mo má sọpe toba rí wàhálà Allah wàhálà,” he sings in a mixture of Yoruba and English.

‘Wahala’ was produced by Adebajo Adebanjo, the instrumentalist fondly called Niphkeys.

Marley sings in English, Pidgin, and Yoruba. His music is a blend of Afrobeats and hip-hop. He is known as the president of his controversial fan base, “Marlians”.

In October, the singer was arrested over allegations that he was involved in the death of Mohbad, his former signee.

Marley was released on bail in November after spending over five weeks in detention.
