Venita Akpofure, the reality TV star, has claimed she was already a star before going for BBNaija in ‘Gen Z Cypher’, Magnito’s new song featuring her.

Akpofure took part as a housemate in the fourth season of the BBNaija reality show in 2019.

On Tuesday, Venita shared a snippet of her musical debut via her X page.

In the visuals, the 37-year-old bragged that the reality show did not help her, rather they “helped each other”.

“I made it before Big Brother. No be Biggie help me, we dey help each other. Small girls babbling, I don’t even bother. Dem no get experience, they never cross border,” Venita raps.

Akpofure was born in the UK, but hails from Delta state in Nigeria and grew up in Benin, Edo state.

She is an actress and video vixen. Akpofure played the role of Mimi in AY Makun’s ‘Ay’s Crib’. She was also featured in 2Baba’s ‘Ihe Ne Me’ and ‘Mukulu’ by Skales as a video vixen.

Born Mohammed Usman Adamu, Magnito, on the other hand, hails from the Idoma tribe in Benue state.

He started his music career in 2010 but gained prominence after the release of ‘If I Get Money Ehn’, his 2016 hit single.
