The ‘Life Is Eazi – Accra to Lagos’ mixtape has been on the World Albums chart on Billboard since the beginning of August, in what is its second coming.

Presently, it sits on #9 position, a spot down from the eighth position it occupied last week.

The rebirth of the mixtape which contains 14 songs is largely due to Mr Eazi’s feature as the ‘Up Next’ artiste of the month on Apple Music.

By virtue of being the ‘Up Next’ artiste for August, songs and projects of the ‘Banku’ music progenitor were promoted and featured on Apple’s playlists and iTunes, making him more visible to a global audience.

The month-long spotlight on the singer featured a documentary about his rapid rise, an interview with Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga, and a live performance session entitled ‘Up Next Session: Mr Eazi’.

The Nigerian singer also appeared on the Late Late Show with British comic James Corden.

Following its release in February, the mixtape had made it onto the chart a month later, peaking at number four.

Mr Eazi was the fourth ‘Up Next’ artiste on Apple Music, a special feature series which was launched in April 2017.

The singer who calls himself a ‘travelling nomad’ will be hosting a culture festival at London’s Roundhouse in September.
