The commissioner said they were illegally parked and causing traffic obstructions.

The statement said 28 number plates of the “offending vehicles” were seized and the owners would be charged in court.

“The Lagos state environmental/security taskforce team today at about 1 am carried out a night enforcement operation, during which number plates of vehicles parked illegally in front of Cubana night club, obstructing the free flow of traffic along Sobo Arobiodu road, GRA Ikeja, were untied and confiscated,” the statement reads.

The Cubana nightclub is owned by Pascal Okechukwu, the socialite better known as Cubana Chief Priest.

In 2020, operatives of the Lagos Safety Commission and the state police sealed off Cubana nightclub for flouting COVID-19 protocols.
