‘I salute you all as warriors, it’s not easy’ – Jidenna encourages BBNaija housemates

Jidenna Mobisson, Grammy-Nominated Nigerian-American singer, has urged housemates of the ongoing BBNaija reality TV show not to be deterred by the emotional effects of public scrutiny.

The ‘Classic Man’ singer made this statement when he appeared as a guest in Biggie’s house on Sunday.

After sharing his career experiences with the housemates, Jidenna lauded their strength and said he understands the challenges they face since he is also into the entertainment business.

“I can imagine what it is like to be in here. When I came in, I was like ‘this can’t be easy’. To be cooked up and surrounded by real emotions, real energies. I salute you all as soldiers and warriors because it’s not a joke. Its real life.. I work in the same business. We put our lives out there for people to judge,” he said.

According to him, housemates who get into the show thinking they could just act their way through without getting involved emotionally often face the stark realities that come with having their lives publicly judged by the public.

“I have been doing these pop up listening parties around the states. I don’t even announce it. I just come to a city, pop up and we just party. It’s like sweaty,” he said.

“Can’t be too pretty. Can’t be too handsome. Its like old school. It’s like before when we were young.

“Really young I used to watch these documentaries of older people, how they used to party.”

The singer, who recently released his album ‘85 to Africa‘, said he has been on a rampage with unannounced listening parties across cities in the United States.

“I have been doing these pop up listening parties around the states. I don’t even announce it. I just come to a city, pop up and we just party. It’s like sweaty. Can’t be too pretty. Can’t be too handsome. It’s like old school,” he added.
