In an interview with HipTV, the singer said he reached out to Phyno while he was in the process of creating the song.
He said he was not yet famous and felt that having Phyno on the track would help the song gain widespread attention.
Hunblesmith said, shortly after collaborating with Phyno, Davido reached out to him for the remix.
“I reached out to Phyno when I was making the song,” Humblesmith said.
“I was like I never blow, you no get level, you need to put person, you need to put a person on the song for the song to blow so I said no wahala and we had to reach out to Phyno for that.
“Then after reaching out to Phyno, the song started penetrating, making a lot of waves. Then Davido called for the remix, so big ups to him for that.”
Humblesmith’s breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of ‘Osinachi’ featuring Phyno.
That same year, he unveiled the remix of the song, which included Davido.
Since then, the singer has released other notable tracks such as ‘Jukwese’, ‘Attracta’, and ‘Focus’.
He has also earned numerous awards and recognitions for his talent.
